Antalek & Moore is a core member of DCS Risk Management Group, LLC. DCS is an organization of Hudson Valley based independent insurance agencies who share similar values on customer service, insurance company representation, and management. This affiliation has allowed us to broaden our product offerings, which is a great benefit to our customers. We are also able to access large insurance agency resources while maintaining our local, personal relationships we currently have with our clients. Best Practices

The annual Best Practices Study originated in 1993 as an initiative to help independent agents build the value of their most important asset, their agencies. By studying the leading agencies and brokers in the country, the Big "I" hoped to provide member agents with meaningful performance benchmarks and business strategies that could be adopted or adapted for use in improving agency performance, thus enhancing agency value.

The IIABA retained the principals of Reagan Consulting to create and perform the first study of The Best Practices of the Leading Independent Insurance Agencies in the United States. Today, the annual updates continue to provide important financial and operational benchmarks, and the study is recognized as one of the most thoughtful, effective and valuable resources ever made available to the industry.

Independent Insurance Agents

The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA) is a national alliance of 300,000 business owners and their employees who offer all types of insurance and financial services products.

Unlike company-employed agents, IIABA independent insurance agents and insurance brokers represent more than one insurance company, so they can offer clients a wider choice of auto, home, business, life, health coverages as well as retirement and employee-benefit products.
IIABA agents and brokers not only advise clients about insurance, they recommend loss-prevention ideas that can cut costs. If a loss occurs, the independent insurance agent or broker stands with the client until the claim is settled.

IIABA was founded in 1896 as the National Local Association of Fire Insurance Agents. With the expansion of property-casualty business and coverages, the organization’s name was changed to the National Association of Insurance Agents in 1913. To emphasize its members’ ability to work with a variety of insurance companies, the organization became the Independent Insurance Agents of America in 1975. The Association’s name was changed in 2002 to the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America to reflect the diversity of its membership, which includes both independent insurance agents and insurance brokers.

IIABA is a voluntary federation of state associations and local boards, with affiliates in every state and the District of Columbia. Our firm is a member of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of New York.

Beacon Chamber of Commerce

The Beacon Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit corporation and a volunteer-led association that is organized to promote businesses in Beacon, New York.  The mission is to support and be an advocate for our members and promote growth by aiding in their development and success.  The objective is to assist Beacon Chamber of Commerce members to highlight their offerings.  The Beacon Chamber of Commerce also works closely with other organizations. Events are scheduled throughout the year, e.g. Second Saturdays, Beacon Halloween Festival, Hat Parade, Windows on Main Street, Christmas in July Shopping Spree, Spirit of Beacon Day and other special events.
