The Antalek & Moore Insurance Agency History

The Antalek & Moore Insurance Agency, LLC traces its roots to 1853 in the Southern Dutchess community. We began as the W.A. Jones Agency of Beacon.

Jones was an agent of the Home Insurance Company. The firm grew along with the Southern Dutchess economy. It merged with or acquired several insurance firms throughout the years, changing its name as ownership changed.

The latest merger was with the Antalek Insurance Agency, founded in 1972 and Forman & Moore, Inc. This in addition to the purchase of the Kellermann Insurance Agency, Inc. and the Slocum Agency, Inc. in Hopewell Junction brings the agency to its current status. In 2003, the agency saw the need to expand its products offerings to better serve its customers. It affiliated with other similar minded firms into a strategic alliance called DCS Risk Management Group, LLC (see below).

The current owners are Frederick N. Antalek, Sr., IIA and Patrick C. Moore, CPCU. The agency is licensed in several states.

Affiliation Memberships

Antalek & Moore is a core member of DCS Risk Management Group, LLC. DCS is an organization of Hudson Valley based independent insurance agencies who share similar values on customer service, insurance company representation, and management. This affiliation has allowed us to broaden our product offerings, which is a great benefit to our customers. We are also able to access large insurance agency resources while maintaining our local, personal relationships we currently have with our clients.
