For many of us, our cars are an extension of ourselves. They take us to work, to soccer practice, and on vacations. They help us get from A to B, from north to south, from New York to California.
At Antalek & Moore, we want to help ease the worry of the “what ifs” when it comes to getting behind the wheel. Though it’s something that most of us do daily, driving and owning a car comes with an exorbitant amount of risk. Having the right car insurance is the key to staying protected on the road.
We offer four main types of car insurance products, all of which are typically combined to create the standard New York car insurance policy. The first of these three products are required by law in New York, but all have components that are customizable based on your and your family’s driving needs and habits.
Liability insurance protects you from liabilities in the event that you cause an accident and the other party is injured or their property is damaged. This coverage will cover any legal defenses needed along with any amount you are required to pay as a result of a court order or negotiated settlement, up to the limit on your policy.
Personal Injury Protection covers medical and other related expenses to any person in your vehicle who is injured in an accident, regardless of which party is at fault. In New York, Personal Injury Protection coverage is often referred to as no fault coverage. The minimum coverage for Personal Injury Protection is $50,000 per person and the maximum is $175,000.
